The reconstruction of the buildings was carried out respecting the environmental context and the traditional construction art of Jurmala's wooden architecture of the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. This is evidenced by the wood used in the decoration of the facade, its decorative coloring and the decoration of the balconies, which recall the traditional balconies of Jūrmala, rich in wood carvings.
At the end of the 19th century, the present Dzintari neighborhood was a favorite summer residence area of wealthy Riga residents and Russian aristocrats, Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna was also a frequent guest there, after whose marriage with Alfred, the Duke of Edinburgh, the area got the name Edinburgh. Today, EDINBURGH Apartments&Lofts recall the aristocratic atmosphere of the neighborhood's history and at the same time offer their residents modern comfort and quality design as self-evident and attainable values.
